I'm trying to get better about posting my reviews so this post will have 6X09 and 6X10. I'm sure I could have had these done much sooner but as y'all know my apartment flooded the Saturday before Christmas and I ended up spending that week at my mother's. I was going to post 6X09, 6X10 and 6X11 but I'm tired and want to get this posted before this week's episode. The Christmas episode will be posted with the one that will air Tuesday.

Dagger )

Next week: 'Fight club'.

Road Kill )

Next Week: It's Christmas!

So, I was thinking I'd stop doing these reviews because it appears that no one is reading them but then I remembered there are only four episodes left in the season. I realize that means I have seven more to write, because I deleted Brain Storm after watching it last week because I didn't think I could handle watching it again (then proved myself wrong by watching the down loaded version). But regardless there are plenty of reviews of it out there and they come in all shapes and sizes (read: some good some not so good). This post is for episodes 5X13, 5X14 and 5X15.

Inquisition )

Next week: Michael's back and he wants Torren John!

The Prodigal )

Next week: Kolya isn't dead!?

Remnants )

Next week: Brain Strom which I refuse to do a review of. Let's just say that I found it worse than most pink fangirl stories posted on ff.net. It has become clear that Jennifer Keller is a Mary Sue but not the way most people think. She is the embodiment of the writers' wet dreams. And instead of using John, the big bad hero as most people would, they use Rodney as them which is why he 'gets the girl'. I'd rather see her with Ronon than Rodney. /end rant

Next post will be a review of Infection.

I know I so totally suck at getting these reviews out on time (I also know I've said this several times already) but now that I'm unemployed again I should be able to get them out in a more timely fashion (until such time as I get another job unless I manage to find one I can do from home). So this post will have NCIS episodes 6X05, 6X07 and 6X08. And the next one will have SGA episodes 5X13, 5X14 and 5X15. There might even be 5X16 in that post because I'm going to the ballet tomorrow night, the Moscow Ballet is performing The Nutcracker and since my daughter is a ballerina and I've never seen professionals perform before we thought we'd go.

Nine Lives )

I'm not doing a review of Murder 2.0 because [info]jetpack_angel was able to watch it with me.

Collateral Damage )

Next week: The team is setting a trap for the mole by 'playing a war game'.

Cloak )

Next week: 'To catch a killer the team will not only have to trust a traitor they'll have to become one themselves.'

I know, I know. I so totally suck at getting these reviews out on time. I was sick all last weekend and this past week was me playing catch-up from being off work Friday. To make up for not getting the reviews done on time I'll be putting them all in one post. Although don't expect an in-depth one for Friday's SGA. I haven't deleted it from my DVR just because I want to make sure it really was as bad as I thought it was while watching it. To give you some idea of what I'm talking about, I didn't shut the lid on my laptop while it was on and in fact continued to read the story I was reading before it started. This has only happened three times before this season; Whispers, Tracker and The Queen.

The Lost tribe )

Next week: Carson's back! He's helping some survivors of the Hoffan drug that Michael used to taint the 'Wraith food supply'.

Outsiders )

Next week: The Atlantis expedition is on trial for crimes against humanity.

Before I begin the review of NCIS I just have to say one thing. In the commercials Ziva and McGee are shown leaning over a table yelling 'Gibbs has a father!' Well, of course he does. The man didn't just spring up fully formed. Even after seeing the episode it still bugs me but more on that within.

Heartland )

Next week: Gibbs has to work with the FBI.

I got a reply to the review of last week's NCIS that tells me I need to clarify some things. First, (I'm sure I mentioned this in the very first NCIS review) I became a fan of the show midway through the third season and have yet to see all the episodes leading up to the very first one I ever watched. Second, it's *just a TV show*. I make these reviews for fun, and because [info]jetpack_angel asked me to since she has to work on Tuesday nights. Third, if I truly want someone to answer a question I ask in a review I'll say 'Seriously, could someone please tell me the answer?' or something similar. Fourth, (and I can't stress this one enough) it's *just a TV show*! I know I've had people tell me that they think I have trouble telling fantasy from reality but that's not true. I know that NCIS isn't real. Correction, I know that there is a part of the Navy/Marines that investigates when there's been a crime committed by or to a member of the Navy/Marines. Do they operate like 'our team'? Most likely not. So, please keep in mind that this is just for fun and most, if not all, questions asked in a review will be rhetorical.

Capitol Offense )

Next week: We meet Gibbs' father. He's played by the father from The Waltons.

On tonight's episode, Tony is still an 'agent afloat', which is the title. I understand that there has to be an agent on board some ships but wonder why there's not one on all ships. Maybe there's not enough agents to go around?

Next week: Gibbs risks his career for a friend.

So usually the tenth episode of the season is the mid-season finale so I'm expecting a major cliffhanger. As in someone's life will be in danger. And to my way of thinking, SGA owes me for the last couple of stinker episodes. I also avoided all reviews because I've noticed that they tend to taint my reviews.

First Contact )

In two weeks: The continuation. That's right. We don't have to wait months. The voice over says it's 'the most talked about episode'. Since when? I haven't heard one word about it, till now. I may avoid spoilers but that doesn't mean I don't know when people are talking about certain episodes. The most talked about as far as my lists are concerned is The Shrine. Oh, and Vegas.

ETA: I know I misspelled 'secret'. I was making fun of the 'super secret lab'.

So, in all the advertisements of this week's Eureka, Skiffy was calling it the 'mid season finale' but not once during the actual showing did I see that as a bug on the bottom of the screen. And why would the 8th episode of the season be the 'mid season finale' anyway? I coulda sworn Eureka was only 13 episodes long so the midway point would have been two episodes back. And when are they planning on showing the rest of the season? It's not like Skiffy has regular season programming that Eureka was being used as a summer place-holder for so why not just show the remaining 5 episodes now? Enough of the mini-rant, on to the review!

From Fear to Eternity )

So, after a very disappointing season we have any even more disappointing mid-season finale.

Do to [info]jetpack_angel having to work on Tuesday nights, and begging me to give her a recap of each and every episode, I have decided to do reviews just like I do for SGA and Eureka. Before we begin you need to know that I came into the series mid way through the third season and haven't seen all the episodes leading up to that point, I have seen the whole first season because I own it on DVD, nor have I seen the two JAG episodes that introduced NCIS. I have an OTP with this show: Tony/Gibbs. I know I usually call people I don't like by their last names but most of the characters on the show are referred to by their last names because of the relation to the military so that's how I refer to them. Also, in my head Tony, Gibbs and McGee are vampires and sometimes Shifters.

Last Man Standing )

Next week: Tony is still on a ship.

I had some pretty high hopes for this episode, after last week it's hard not to, but it fell flat. While The Queen was much better than Whispers it still didn't live up to the first 6 episodes of the season. I am going to do an in depth review only because I can't remember what I wanted to say about Teyla as a Wraith Queen and how annoying Jennifer's 'Gee golly is that a bad guy!? Should I run or scream like a woman?' attitude the writers insist on giving her is, it had better be the writing and not Jewel's acting because if it is her acting skills well let's just say I didn't like her in Firefly and I'm not liking her (so far) on my show.

The Queen )

Next week: Keller's taken prisoner to help a sick little girl.

I've decided to do a bit of a review of this episode just to express my disgust over how Keller is written and played by Jewel.

Tracker )

So, as you can see I lost interest in this one about half way through and just couldn't summon the energy to write a detailed review.

Next week: Daniel is back in Atlantis! I just might have to start looking for Daniel/Rodney, Daniel/John, Daniel/Ronon, Daniel/John/Rodney, Daniel/Rodney/Ronon, Daniel/John/Ronon, Daniel/Rodney/John/Ronon fics.

I'm not going to do a review of last night's episode. Yes this means I disliked it so much I can't make myself watch it again. I do have a few things to say about it and since they can be considered spoilers, I'll put them under a cut.

Whispers )

So as you can see this was not a very good episode, imho. Next week Teyla goes undercover as a Wraith Queen.

I know these are way behind but I've heard that there are major problems over at LJ and so want these archived.

So, this cold that I have has really kicked my ass which means you get three reviews in one. I’m going to review them in the order they aired, i.e. SGA from two weeks ago, Eureka and then last Friday’s SGA.

Before we begin I want to say that since we didn’t find out about the cancellation of SGA until after The Ghost in the Machine aired I’ll try to not let that color my review of that episode.

The Ghost in the Machine )

Next week: The Shrine

Before I go on to my review of this episode of Eureka I want to say that I went into this hoping that Stark was the one to bite it. I’ve never liked the character, the actor, yes; the character, not so much. I wouldn’t have minded him so much if they hadn’t paired him with Allison. As I’ve said before, my OTP is Jack/Allison which surprised me because I tend to favor slash pairings. Last time I had a het OTP was Farscape.

I Do Over )

Next week: 'Show me the Mummy'

I'm now going to try and review 'The Shrine'. I bawled like a baby during my first watching and haven't gotten the courage to do so again so I might not be able to make it all the way through.

The Shrine )

So I managed to not actually cry during the second viewing of this one but I did tear up several times. I'm sure if I watched it straight through I'd cry again.

Next week: Carson's back!

I was going to do all four but I'm just not really into 'Show Me the Mummy!' and can't find the energy to review it. Maybe next week.

So, apparently I still suck at getting these reviews done at a fairly decent time (I goofed off so much yesterday that I was too tired to finish this last night). Oh, well, better late than never, hm? We’ll start with Eureka since it airs on Tuesdays, and I’m anal in that I like things in some kind of order.

Also, if anyone would be willing to make me a Eureka icon I'll trade you a fic written just for you!

Spoilers! )

Next week: It’s Allison’s wedding day and there’s a mysterious container that Jack warns someone to not open until after the wedding. And we find out that someone will die before the episode is over.

I know I suck at getting these reviews out on time. I’ve been busy, so sue me. (please don’t I don’t have any money since I’ve been unemployed since January)

So this week Jack and Allison get back to nature. The title is ‘What about Bob?’ How original. I’m hoping the ep is better than the movie.

Spoilers! )

Next week (tomorrow): there’s gonna be a dog show, but it’s not your normal dog show. All the dogs are robots. Jack also thinks there’s a volcano under Eureka. Allison says there’s not just as we get a shot of a steam geyser appearing in front of Jack and Stark.

About this Entry
So I got a job! Yay, me! I was going to write a review for Continuum this morning but had to go fill out my paperwork and take a drug test. While we were out, I dragged Vic along for the ride, I decided I needed to get my hair cut and so did Vic.

So I got a new style and color ).

And now on to the review:

So apparently I really love to procrastinate. I watched Continuum last Wednesday and promised myself, and several others, I’d have the review done within a few days. Of course that was before I got thrown off by ‘The Daedalus Variations’. Yes, it was that bad. I know my review of it doesn’t make it seem so, but it didn’t hold my interest like most of the others.

Anyway, I have a couple of hours to kill tonight so here I am doing my review. I don’t usually watch the previews on DVDs but I just put this one in and let it run while I was getting ready to write. This means I ended up watching the previews. The first one is for War Games: The Dead Code. It looks really cool and makes me want to see the first one again. Which makes me want to see that Matthew Broderick film Project X again. The second preview is for SGA season 4 DVD. I have to admit that I didn’t mind Amanda joining the cast. The writers did a really good job of not dumbing Rodney down to make Sam look smarter. Nor did they turn him into a bumbling idiot in her presence. Then we get a review for SG-1 season 1-10 DVD. Man I really wish I could afford the full series boxset. Or to replace my older boxsets with the new sleeker ones. Then one for Joyride 2.

Now on to the movie! Spoilers! )

This one was much more enjoyable than Ark of Truth

So, as some of you know I now have a LJ comm called [info]speedle_wolfe.  About a month ago I received a request to join from someone who doesn't use their LJ.  I made a request in the comm that I would like for anyone requesting membership to have at least one public post.  I ask this just to make sure I don't get any sock puppets.  A day or so ago I went to this person's LJ to see if they had at least made a post stating that their journal was private.  What I found instead was this:

End of story.

Since I had such a blast reviewing the SGA eps, I thought I’d do the same for Eureka. I don't have a Eureka icon, anyone willing to make me one?

Before we get to the review, I want to say I was mistaken about the newest cast member of Eureka. It’s not Lauren Holly; it’s the woman who played Christopher Titus’ mother in his sitcom, Frances Fisher. I admit I looked it up on IMDb.

Spoilers! )

Next week: Allison and Jack ‘get back to nature’ which is ‘no walk in the park’.
